Cobham Sporting Gun Club

The regular shoot takes place on the first and third Sunday of each month.

In addition, the following are notable club dates for your diary:

In addition ........ three other competitions are awarded on performances over the Club year.

The Tony Cattle Award is presented to the member whose average score/handicap is the most improved over the club year.

The John Maiklem Trophy is awarded to the member who breaks the highest number of clays over the Club year. So attendance is a factor as well as actual scores. The running total throughout the year for all members can be seen in column headed “Total” of the score sheet.

The Side-by-Side Championship is run in parallel with a normal Club shoot on the third Sunday in June. It is open to members who elect to shoot the whole round with a side-by-side shotgun. To encourage members to take part and particularly those who may not regularly use a side-by-side, members are permitted to withdraw their score from the annual rankings if they wish. They must do this during or immediately after the shoot. So if a member makes a complete hash of things with his side-by-side he can withdraw his score so as not to "damage" his overall percentage or handicap for the rest of the year.
